<p>PURPOSE:To widen the range of output of a dam-type power plant, by considering the compensated quantity of the water level of a dam. CONSTITUTION:The capability Phd of the dam-type power plant is determined by the dam water level hd, effective head fluctuation DELTAH and pipe and water wheel efficiency. A comparator 10 compares the capability Phd with an output command applied from a system. When the capability Phd is higher than the output command Po, the command is applied to an adder-subtracter 13. When the capability Ph is lower than the output command Po, the value of the capability is applied as an output command to the adder-subtracter 13. The adder-subtracter controls the governor 15 of a water wheel 16 depending on the difference between the output command and the output level of an electricity generator 17. The compensated quantity of the water level is thus taken into consideration to widen the range of operation up to a large quantity of inflow.</p> |
