<p>PURPOSE:To establish the directional detector of small size, by making opposite the phase of the synthesized signal between the coupling signal from the main line to the detection element and the signal reaching the detection element via the coupler to the main line, depending on the direction of signal propagation of the main line. CONSTITUTION:The microstrip line 14 in length is provided as the coupler apart from a given distance d from the main line 2, and another end of the line 14 is connected to the termination resistor 13 and the detection diode D7 which is in parallel with the line 2 and in which the electromagnetic coupling with the propagation signal on the main line is maximized. The distance from the main line 2 to the joint points A and B with the D7 and the coupler, and the length l of the line 14 are respectively taken 1/4 of the signal wave length lambda. Thus, the input signal from the signal source 1 is coupled at the points A and B of the line 2 and synthesized at D7, and the phase difference between the synthesized signal and the signal in which the signal propagating from the load 3 to the signal source 1 and coupled at the points A and B and synthexized at D7 is 180 deg. to establish the small sized directional detector.</p> |
