PURPOSE:To establish the isolator of lower exciting power supply voltage through the transmission of DC voltage with a simple constitution and with good accuracy, by obtaining the DC output signal voltage which is isolated from the DC input signal voltage at the output side of the smoothing circuit and having proportional amplitude. CONSTITUTION:The unit consists of the smooth circuit 6 which is connected to the output winding of the transformer 3 via the clamp circuit 5 and the exciting power supply 7 supplying the exciting current to the transformer 3 in ON-OFF manner and a DC input signal voltage is fed to the input winding of the transformer 3 via clamp circuit 4. Further, the exciting current is fed to the direction that the clamp circuits 4 and 5 at the input and output side are not operated, and the clamp circuits 4 and 5 are operated with the counterelectromotive force produced between the windings of the transformer 3 when the exciting current is OFF, and the DC output signal voltage which is isolated from the DC input signal voltage and in proportional to the input signal is obtained at the output side of the smooth circuit 6. Thus, the DC voltage is transmitted with isolation with a simple constitution and good accuracy and the isolator can have lower exciting voltage. |
