<p>PURPOSE:To improve a minor lobe and also to stress or soften an image by a multiplication signal, of reception signals from a main antenna and auxiliary antenna, by adding the multiplication signal to a square-law signal of a reception signal from the main antenna. CONSTITUTION:Reception signals from main antenna 1 and auxiliary antenna 2 are respectively extracted from main intermediate amplifier 3 and auxiliary intermediate amplifier 4 sharing local oscillator 5 and multiplied each other by multiplier 6 to obtain multiplication signal 10. A reception signal from main antenna 1, on the other hand, is extracted from main intermediate amplifier 3 and inputted to multiplier 7 to obtain square-law signal 11. Square-law signal 11 is passed through attenuator 9 and added by adder 8 to multiplication signal 10 with its beam width compressed, thereby obtaining output signal 12. An amplitude ratio of multiplication signal 10 to square-law signal 11 is determined by attenuator 9. In this way, the improvement of the minor lobe and the stressing or softening of an image by the multiplication signal are carried out, so that a small target close to a large target at the same distance will never be missed.</p> |
