<p>Water-soluble monoazo dyes for nylon having the formula: wherein ring A may optionally be substituted by halogen, trifluoromethyl, alkoxy, acylamino or alkyl having from 1 to .4 carbon atoms, R represents hydrogen or unbranched alkyl having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R1 represents hydrogen, alkyl or hydroxyalkyl, X represents unbranched alkyl having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl, halogen, nitro, trifluoromethyl, sulpho, vinylsulphonyl, hydroxyethylsulphonyl, sulphatoethylsulphonyl,-SO2NHR2, wherein R2 represents hydrogen or alkyl having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or -COOR3 wherein R3 represents hydrogen, alkyl having from 1 to 7 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl or aryl, and n represents an integer of from 0 to 3.</p> |
