PURPOSE:To improve the recording accuracy together with the heat conductivity to the heat sensitive recording material by setting the electric terminals on the both ends of thin film resistance and also setting the prominent part, which is made of the same material used for the terminals, on the resistance without contacting the both terminals. CONSTITUTION:The glaze layer 12 of about 60mum thickness is coated on the heat resistive base 11 of aluminium etc. and then the thin film resistance 13 of Ta-SiO2 etc. is further coated on with the thickness of about 3000Angstrom . The metal electric terminals 14 and 14', which have multilayer structure made of gold and chromium etc. and about 2mum thickness, are seted on the both ends, and further, with coating the insulation and wear resistive layer 16 (the thickness is about 1-10mum) of SiC etc. over the whole upper surface, the thermal head is obtained. At this time, the prominent 15 made of the same material with the terminals 14 is put on the resistance between the electrodes 14 and 14' without contacting them. By so doing, it is able to contact the thermal sensitive material 18 on the right upper part of the resistance 13, and the improved heat conductivity and high speed response are expectable. |
