<p>In this process, sugar-containing solutions are supplied with oxygen-enriched air or pure oxygen in vats. The unreacted oxygen is expediently drawn off from the vats, it being possible to remove metabolic products from it before feeding it back into the vats again, in order not to pollute the feed worts even from the start by waste substances. The process enables more rapid and cheaper culturing of feed yeast, since the sugar-containing solutions can be better utilised.</p> |
