The programmed function generator uses a memory containing the characteristic values of the programme being used, which is combined with a calculator for obtaining the actual value of each variable via interpolation techniques. The memory has the same number of lines as the number of bits required to express the largest possible characteristic value for the programme, together with its sign. The memory also has the same number of columns as the number of segments of the programme multipled by the number of controlled functions plus one. An active memory with random access, or a passive memory which is preprogrammed and which may or may not be reprogrammable is used.
|
