Radiation-hardening prepns. made by reaction of (A) 1 OH equiv. poly-(alkyleneoxy)-polyol or polyester polyol, (B) 2.5-8 equivs. organic diisocyanate, and (c) 1.5-6 equivs. hydroxyalkyl acrylate ester, at 30-80 degrees C (45-60 degrees C) The prepns. give films with better properties than known acrylate compsns. They have lower viscosity giving high stability and are easier handling than acrylated urethane oligomer coating compsns. They also give good gloss when applied over usual air-drying inks.
