PURPOSE:To provide a safe, orally administrable antiallergic agent containing Streptococcus lactis separated from milk on the market as an effective component. CONSTITUTION:Cells of Streptococcus lactis (living cells, heat-treated cells, freeze- dried cells, disintegrated cells, etc.), e.g. Streptococcus lactis BK-042 strain (FERM-P No.4590), BK-045 strain (FERM-P No.4591), etc., separated from the milk on the market, are used as an effective component of an antiallergic agent. Although the Streptococcus lactis is heterologous protein to human, it suppresses the production of an allergic antibody IgE, and inhibits the allergic reactions. It can be administered orally or by intravenous injection, in the form of suspension, granule, powder, etc. |
