PURPOSE:To improve a trouble resolution to a module to compose a multiplier by specifying the module, in which the trouble is generated, among plural modules according to the comparison result of a comparing means. CONSTITUTION:A modulo 3 of respective output data of carry-propagate adders 7-10 preparing by output modulo 3 preparing circuits 11-14 and an intermediate result modulo 3 prepared from a carry and a sum from a carry-save adder 6 inputted to the carry-propagate adders 7-10 by intermediate result modulo 3 preparing circuits 15-18 and the carry propagated between the carry- propagate adders 7-10 are compared. According to the comparison result, the carry-propagate adders 7-10, in which the trouble is generated, are specified. Thus, the trouble resolution to the carry-propagate adders 7-10 (modules) to compose the multiplier can be improved. |
