Process for the preparation of peptides

The peptides of formula (pyro)Glu-His-Trp-X-Tyr-Y-Leu-Arg-Pro-Z (I> in which X, Y and Z are defined in Claim 1, are prepared by peptide linking of the protected amino acids, according to the so-called solid support technique. Finally, the end peptide is split from its support and the protective groups are removed. The peptides of formula I are hormones capable of releasing luteinising hormone (gonadotropin B) and follicle stimulating hormone (gonadotropin A) and can be used as products inducing ovulation.
