Human blood storage bag - of high-frequency welded coupled or co-extruded polyvinyl chloride : polyolefin composite film

A bag is formed by high-frequency welding a coupled or coextruded composite film with PVC and polyolefin layers. The polyolefin is inside to contact the blood and the PVC is wider to form welded selvedges at a head edge to which PVC inlet and outlet tubes are welded. The film is pref. a coupled film of PVC and low-density polyethylene, 200-350 mu m and 200-50 mu m thick respectively, or a coextruded film of PVC and polypropylene, 200-350 mu m and 100-50 mu m thick respectively. The composite film has air permeability equivalent to PVC film, but much lower permeability to water vapour and no toxicity danger.
