PURPOSE:To obtain a nonhazardous, low-pollution printing ink free from adverse effects on human body, having good printability, by dissolving a cellulosic resin and oil-soluble dye in benzyl acetate (the main component of the solvent). CONSTITUTION:An ink solvent is first prepared by incorporating 85-100 wt.% of benzyl acetate of the formula with 0-15 wt.% of another solvent. Next, 10- 25 parts by wt. of a cellulosic resin such as nitrocellulose, etc. and 1-15 parts by wt. of an oil-soluble dye such as oil yellow, etc. are dissolved in 60-85 parts by wt. of the resulting ink solvent to obtain the objective printing ink. USE:Chiefly for screen printing applications: for printing on anodized aluminum film, plastic sheet, synthetic paper, coated surface, etc. |
