The resilient support consists of an elastomer and is particularly intended for supporting a motor vehicle power unit. It comprises a central rubber block (1) at top and bottom provided with mounting elements (2, 2') for securing the block to the components to be connected. An elastomer ring (3) connected to an inertial mass (4) is secured to the outside (5) of the block and acts as a phase-shifting dynamic damping element. The rubber block may contain 15 to 20 parts of carbon and have a Shore A hardness of 40 to 50. The ring (3) may be in natural or synthetic rubber with 30 to 70 parts of carbon and a Shore A hardness of around 55.
