PURPOSE:To obtain the material suitable for a magnetic toner and others, capable of stably taking out it in the air by forming a magnetites film on the surface through a gas containing O2 while suspneding a matal magnetic particle obtained by reducing iron dioxide in the NaOH solution. CONSTITUTION:A granular metal magnetic particle mainly containing iron, obtained by heating and reducing an iron dioxide particle containing mainly Fe2O3 in the reduced gas atmosphere, is suspended in NaOH solution at 5 to 70 deg.C of OH density of 0.01 to 18 mole. Sucessively, the liquid temperature is adjusted at 60 to 100 deg.C, a magnetite film is formed on the surface on the surface of the particle through O2 containing gas, thereafter, washin and filtering is provided, and is dried at 30 to 100 deg.C in the air. According to such a process, without utilizing an organic solvent during the processing, the granular metal particle with a high coercive force, suitable for a magnetic toner of a static reproducer and containing iron mainly, capable of taking out it in the air stably, can be preferably obtained. |
