<p>The wheel support (103) for a skateboard has a body (104) fixed under the board (1) and an axle (106) for the wheels. The body has a a cylindrical bore (100) which is inclined with regard to the longitudinal axis of the board. A shaft (107), joined to the axle support (105) is mounted in this bore and can rotate. At least one part of the shaft is hollowed out (101) in the form of a cam which is flat or slightly curved. A piston (112) sliding in a second bore (111), perpendicular to the first, is pushed against the cam by a coil spring (113). The arrangement allows the board to pivot about a horizontal longitudinal axis, with the wheels in contact with ground, to facilitate small radius turning.</p> |
