Solar radiation collectors are formed so that when mounted side by side with each other they form a cover. They have a trough shaped element down one sdie into which a similar element on the other side fits. The two sides interlock to form a tight seal. Down the centre of each element a pipe is formed through which heat transfer liquid flows. The radiation absorbing surface then extends out on either side. One side of the element the larger one, is fixed to the struts in the roof. Collector is of a simple low cost construction yet giving a water tight roof.
