<p>A ceramic disc capacitor has a thinner wall thickness in the centre than at the rim, pref. by a concave shape at both end faces. One face is coated all over by a metal layer. The metal coating on the other face is applied gradually, when the first is already in position, until the desired capacitance has been reached. This is a simple method for the production of capacitors with very narrow tolerances in the value of their capacitance.</p> |
