PURPOSE:To reduce the entire size of a device for absorbing the twisting vibration of a drive system with simplified construction by containing a piston operating as a torque transmission member between first and second shafts within a cylinder therearound. CONSTITUTION:When a shaft 2 is, for example, operated as an input shaft to drive a shaft 1, the torque operating the shaft 2 is transmitted through a piston 9 to the shaft 1. When this torque alters at this time, the axial urging force acting on the piston 9 is varied. When the axial force is increased, for example, the piston 9 is advanced against a spring 10, while when it is decreased, the spring 10 is compressed to retard itself. In the meantime, viscous fluid 1 moves through the gap between the outer and the inner peripheries of the piston 9 to permit the variation to be absorbed thereby. Since the fluid 11 is sealed in the airtight space 5 in the cylinder 4, it can simplify the construction as compared with the type of introducing oil externally. |
