Horizontally polarised aerials radiating in different horizontal directions are mounted on a support rod (5). To eliminate disturbance of the radiated field the supply line (8) parallel to the support rod axis is placed one wavelength or more away from it. A horizontal section (8a) joins the line to a distributor (6) on the support rod (5). The vertical part (8b) of the supply line is typically coaxial and screened, with a diameter much less than the operating wavelength. The support rod (5) diameter is also small in relation to the operating wavelength.
