Systolic and diastolic blood pressure measuring apparatus - has evaluator with two input monoflops and NOR=gate at output

The automatic blood pressure measuring apparatus converts each Korotkow murmur into a pulse signal to obtain systolic and diastolic signals using an electronic evaluating unit. This has an input for the pulses and a second input obtained by changing the logic potential of the initial pulses. The systolic pressure is measured by timing successive pulses and the diastolic pressure is obtained by processing the pulse signals. The processing system includes monoflops at the two inputs and a NOR-gate connecting the two outputs. This supplies a control unit which blocks or releases the indicator for the systolic blood pressure indicator. The two monoflops have respective holding times of about 1.5 sec. and 4 sec. respectively.
