<p>One or more adjusting mechanisms are displaceable between frame and panel edge, in a coplanar direction, in the hollow profile frame for a panel or pane, as used in doors or windows. The mechanism is a piston or plunger (6), moving in a hole (4) in the inner walling (2) of the frame (1). This holds and end of a spindle (9), in an axial hole (7) on the inside, with its other end supported (10) in a hole (5) in an opposite frame wall (3), rotatable from outside. There is an internal thread on support or piston, and matching external thread on spindle, the former being secured to prevent rotation. This can be inserted at the time of frame manufacture, or later, and can be operated from outside, without any need to remove panes or re-insert and align wedges.</p> |
