The aerial test system makes use of an aerial which is positioned at the centre of circularly arranged aerial installation to be tested. The special aerial used in the test has an octagonal or cardioid directional characteristic. This aerial radiates to at least one circle sector so that the zero position of the directional characteristic is directed to the directional beam of the circle sector. A directional beam network (RSN) is provided.
