STAGGERED BRUSH ARRANGEMENT FOR FUEL PUMP MOTOR A fuel supply pump for use in the fuel supply of a fuel tank said fuel pump being of the type which is driven by a commutator motor of the type in which external power is applied to the commutator solely by means of carbon brushes. The carbon brushes of the motor are axially staggered by at least one brush width so that separate sliding paths are assigned to the carbon brushes on the common commutator segments. Each of the sliding paths is in contact with only a respective one of the carbon brushes.
