PURPOSE:To match the transmission time in the transmission side and the recognition processing time in the receiving side to each other, by suppressing the high-speed transmission only after the read operation on a specific main scanning line is terminated in the transmitting operation of a facsimile device. CONSTITUTION:A mark is added in a region, where information is recognized by an OCR, of an original, and a mark detector 13 sends an encoding stop signal to an encoder 12 to stop the encoding processing for the next scanning line after detecting this mark. After a certain time, the encoding stop signal is broken, and the encoding processing due to the encoder 12 is restarted. Consequently, the transmission time is matched to the recognition processing time without damaging the high-speed transmissibility so much even if the buffer memory of the OCR in the receiving side is made small-capacity. |
