<p>The radome is intended for covering a directional aerial and affords easy production, using suitable surface elements which can be mass produced. The radome is of spherical shape and the entire sphere (1) surface consists of identical spherically arcuated elements, preferably of isosceles, spherical triangles (2) with identical spherical angles. Typically the angles amount to 72 deg. Each element may be divided into three identical rectangles (8), or in six identical triangles. Four rectangular elements may be combined to form a pentagon (15). The elements may consist of a hard foam core with cover layers of fibre reinforced plastics.</p> |
