The clamping ring is for all types of cylindrical capacitor etc. securing them to a chassis and preventing rotation. The clamp consists of a shallow open cylindrical strap (1) having a closed diameter rather less than that of the component being secured. Each end of the strap is bent outward into a small circle. Each circle has a drilled metal inserted, one having a central clear or tapped fixing hole (2) the other (3) an offset hole and a screwdriver slot in its upper surface. The capacitor is gripped by rotating the eccentric insert and distorting the strap.
