<p>On a textile machine with a number of work positions comprising vertical spindles, the spindles are driven by an endless belt in contact with a drive pulley on each spindle. The belt is controlled by two motors of the same power and speed, disposed at each end of the frame. The simple double drive system of the invention overcomes problems previously encountered with regard to friction, wear, the use of costly pneumatic shock absorbers, and complicated pulley arrangements.</p> |
