The rotation of the bed (P) is ensured by a crosswheel (Maltese Cross) (A) driven by two motors (2, 3) revolving at different speeds which determine the ratio chosen between the stop time necessary for each work station, and its displacement time. The means provided for invariably and strictly reproducibly positioning each work station under the tool consist of an adjustable stop for each station, a ratchet (8) revolving with the bed (P), engaging on the stop and a jack exerting on the bed a pressure counter to its direction of rotation in order to push the ratchet on to the stop each time it stops. <IMAGE>
