A vulcanising press of great width is used for the production of narrow conveyor belts. The edge-forming strips lying in the longitudinal centre zone of the press, for the conveyor belt edges, are fixed by a narrow metal strip and a rubber strip lying thereon, the rubber strip projecting somewhat above the thickness of the conveyor belt.
