A fish ladder is proposed which consists of a pipe (1) with several transverse retaining discs (2). The retaining discs have passage openings (3) in the lower area and overflow openings (4) in the upper area. Longitudinal slots (5) are preferably provided on the top side of the pipe (1) along a generating line. The retaining discs can be inserted into the pipe (1) through the longitudinal slots (5). The retaining discs are mounted by means of an essentially vertical, eccentrically arranged pivot (6), the result of which is that torque acts on the retaining discs and holds them transversely when water flows in. A common turning device enables several retaining discs or all retaining discs to be turned simultaneously. This enables the fish ladder to be cleaned in a particularly simple manner. An immersion piece (15) is preferably provided at the top end of the pipe (1). The fish ladder according to the invention is thus of simple construction, is easy to produce and easy to clean and can be adjusted to the individual requirements. <IMAGE>
