A rear-view mirror for vehicles is described, in which a mirror-glass support is mounted on a retaining plate such that it can pivot about two independent axes with respect to the retaining plate and is coupled at two hinge points, which are offset in angular terms with respect to the intersection of the axes, to in each case one output drive shaft of in each case one electrically operated actuating motor, in each case one switch being arranged in the power supply circuit of each of the two actuating motors for the optional operation of the associated actuating motor. As a result of an improvement in the rear-view mirror, the driver is largely relieved of the stress of respectively readjusting the rear-view mirror, in that at least one adjustable nominal position of the mirror glass support with respect to the two axes is stored in a memory such that it can be recalled.
