Drainage arrangement for oily waste water in sumps, the contents of which are to be fed to an oil separator via a line projecting into the sump, the sump being designed as a self-contained tank with a top inlet which can be shut off and having a compressed-air connection with control members which on the one hand open the compressed-air connection (13) when the tank inlet (10) is shut off and on the other hand shut off the compressed-air connection (13) again and vent the interior space of the tank at a predetermined low water level in the tank (9). <IMAGE>
