<p>Test appts. for a heat exchanger, esp. a steam generator of a pressurised water reactor, is designed for introducing a test device through a manhole into an end plenum chamber of the vessel and for centering the test device on the individual tube opening in the tube plate. The positioning assembly comprises a rail or bar with transverse flange and carrying a movable slide; the bar is introduced through the manhole and the transverse flange is clamped across the manhole opening. One or more centering pins determine the relative position between the slide and/or the rail on the one hand and the tube plate of the heat exchanger on the other hand. Used esp. for the steam generator of a pressurised water reactor. Appts. enables the inspection to be carried out with much reduced radiation exposure of personnel.</p> |
