<p>A skin colouring prod. comprises a compsn. contg. 0.005-0.03 gm% carotene (pro-vitamin A) in all its forms combined with an aq. or oily vehicle. For 100gm of the compsn., 10% water dispersible carotene (0.15gm) is diluted in 0.3ccs of distilled water. In one pref. product 0.30cc of this compsn. is mixed with 0.25 g 3-(4-methylbenzylidene)camphor, 0.1g methyl p-hydroxybenzuate, 0.4ml synthetic rose oil and 100ml or 50% sesame oil/paraffin oil mixture. The vehicle pref. comprises milks and creams are formed as o/w emulsions either self-stabiliser or stabiliser by a wetting agent, the carotene being dispersed as fire droplets in the vehicle.</p> |
