The unit incorporates a rod mounted concentrically in a bush. The bush is mounted in a frame which is bolted to the aircraft structure. Linkages to which control rods are connected to the concentric parts. Pivots for the linkages are mounted in slots, so that the positions of the pivot points can be adjusted by means of control rods. The control rods are moved by a lever from the elevators, so that directional controls are affected by the elevator controls.
