The housing of the totally enclosed disc (3) brake is in two parts (e.g. 4) secured by bolts through bores (9) in mating peripheral flanges. Each housing half has an hydraulic brake cylinder (12) connected to a master cylinder via a brake oil line. At least one (15) of the bolts serves at the same time to secure a brake cylinder. The cylinder may be secured by three bolts (15, 17), of which two (15) pass through bores (9). The oil line connecting the outside cylinder may extend through one of the bores and may be releasably connected to both ends of a tube coupling inserted in that bore.
