The blister pack comprises a carrier plate (1) with printing on one side which plate projects laterally from the packed object (3). The projecting portion carries an identification marking (5) capable of being read by a scanner. The portion (4) carrying the marking (5) is bendable relative to the remainder of the plate. The portion (4) may be attached to the remainder of the plate via a fold line (7).
