摘要 <p>Coal mineral particles are sepd. from a coal liq. in which they are suspended by adding 1-100 (pref. 10-50) g/l of a Ca salt and performing a sepn. step at >400 degrees F. The Ca salt is typically solid Ca acetate or carbonate. The Ca salt increases the rate of sepn. of the coal mineral particles (often of submicron size) from coal liqs., e.g. in the solvent Refined Coal process. Unlike a filter aid, the Ca salt effects improved sepn. irrespective of the sepn. method (which may be settling, hydrocycloning, etc.).</p>
