PURPOSE:To prevent the build up of deposites or the like in the path by feeding recirculated exhaust gas and air to be fed to the suction system at deceleration through a common path. CONSTITUTION:In the normal operation, an EGR valve 10 communicates recirculating paths to allow the exhaust to be recirculated to a suction pipe. With the decelerating operation, the rise in the suction negative pressure yields a difference in pressure between two chambers 302 and 303 of a deceleration control valve 30. While the difference exceeds a given level, a diaphragm 301 and a valve body 307 moves up against a spring 305 to open the opening 16a. Consequently, air is inducted to the suction pipe 3 through the opening 16a, a filter 308, an opening 16a and a path 6b to reduce CO and HC at the deceleration. As the primary air passes through a path 6b, it blows away deposites and condensed water of the exhaust gas accumulated on a shaft 14 of the EGR valve 10 and in the path 6b. In this manner, they are introduced to the suction pipe 3.
|
