PURPOSE:To reduce current consumption with a shorter time for passage of the current through the primary winding by changing the working point of an amplifier according to the rise of the power supply voltage with the addition of a simple impedance. CONSTITUTION:When the power switch 22 is closed, the output of AC generator 1 syncronously rotating with the engine passes a resistance 3 and a capacitor 4. After the surge is absorbed, it is wave-shaped and amplified by means of a circuit comprising transistors 2 and 12 and resistances 7 to 9, 11 and 13 and capacitor 10 to drive a power transistor 19. With such an arrangement, the moment the primary current flows through the primary winding 20a of an ignition coil 20 to invert the polarity of the AC voltage by the AC generator, the transistors 2, 12 and 19 are cut off and with the induction of a high voltage in the secondary winding, an ignition plug produces a spark. At this point, an impedance comprising a resistance 15a and a constant voltage diode 15b is connected to the transistor 2. |
