Dihydroisoquinolines (salts) are of formula (I): (where R1 is H, or 1-6C alkyl; R2 is dialkylamino alkyl and including radicals, the two alkyl gps. together with the N-atom completes a 5-7 membered satd. heterocyclic ring opt. substd. by O, S or NR and R is H, 1-4C alkyl or phenyl or R1 + R2 is an N contg. satd. ring of 5-6 atoms; R3 is phenyl opt. mono- or disubstd. by halogen, NO2, amino, sulphamoyl, acylamino or 1-4C alkyl, or pyridyl. R4 and R5 are H or 1-4C alkoxy and X is O of S). (I) are used as anti-arythmic agents. |
