<p>The vehicle has an antenna inductively coupled with a two-wire line laid along the rails, crossed at specified intervals and supplied with alternating current. Spacings between the crossing points correspond to a specified accuracy of location. A detector is provided at each crossing point and connected to both rails in order to measure a rail voltage whose amplitude and/or phase depend on the position and on the engagement of the respective rail section. A reference voltage, a function of the alternating current in the line, is also applied to the detector. At the end of the line (DG) both wire (L1, L2) are connected by a terminating resistor (ZL), and each wire is connected to each rail through resistors (ZL11, ZL12,; ZL21, ZL22).</p> |
