The box consists of two similar portions formed by cutting and scoring from a cardboard blank. Each portion has bottom panels with longitudinal extension formed as lips which are received between double wall thicknesses of other pairs of panels when the blank is folded to form a box. The portions are connected via a line between the bottom panels. The top panel at the other end of one portion has a closure flap with at least one lip which is capable of engaging the opposite top panel at the other end of the other portion.
