The cleaning apparatus (1) comprises a container (8) with a hand grip (9) and in the longitudinal direction of the container extends a strip of elastic material. Parallel to this strip is a brush (10) at the rear end of which is a feed manifold with a number of apertures for the supply of a cleaning fluid. The manifold is attachable to a fluid feed source. In the container is a closure unit provided with a spring for moving it into its closed position (6). The fluid source comprises a pressurised reservoir (4) provided with a hand-operated air pump.
