PURPOSE:To readily interchange rollers at a spindle by elevationally telescoping a rotatable supporting arm having supporting pawls to thereby support the spindle. CONSTITUTION:A supporting arm 10 provided in parallel with a spindle 4 is first rotated by a handle 23 to the position where supporting pawls 11 are located under the spindle 4. The handle 23 is then lowered and locked. A handle 14 is subsequently turned to telescope the supporting arm 10 so that the pawls 11 are located at the position to be inserted into predetermined position of the spindle 4. Further, a change jack 25 is driven by an elevational hydraulic drive unit 17 to thereby insert the pawls 11 into the recess of the spindle 4. Then, a rotary hydraulic drive unit 24 is driven to move the jack 25 so as to move the spindle 4 in a direction to pull the spindle 4 from the shaft of the rollers 7. Thus, the spindle 4 is pulled out of the roller shaft, and supported. Thereafter, rolling rollers are interchanged. |
