PURPOSE:To enable a mask to be fitted to a paper guide speedily and easily without requiring high accuracy of component parts or an adjustment on assembly, by a construction wherein the mask is supported on the paper guide so that the mask can be moved toward and away from a platen. CONSTITUTION:Each support shaft 13 has a flange 13a at an end thereof, and a small diameter part 13b at the tip thereof is fixed to a paper guide 11 by press-fitting. A mask 12 is disposed between the paper guide and the flanges, with holes 12a thereof fitted over the support shafts, and is supported on the support shafts so that it can be moved toward and away from a platen 1. Thus, the mask can be moved toward and away from the platen and be moved between a solid-line position and a chain-line position, so that the mask can be moved to an optimum position according to the thickness of a paper 101 and the thickness of a ribbon 102. Therefore, there is no possibility that the paper or the ribbon may be clamped by the mask. High accuracy of component parts and an adjustment on assembly, which have been conventionally required, are unnecessitated, and a lower cost and a shorter assembly time can be realized. |
