The connector has, in a housing 1, 4, a plurality of symmetrical individual contacts 12 mounted on a contact-carrying strip 9 which can move parallel to the plane of the printed-circuit cards, means 8a, 10b being provided for deforming the individual contact 12, between a retracted position and a contact position, with a relative movement for self-wiping (-cleaning) the contact surfaces.
