PURPOSE:To reduce the space for arranging rotation shafts and stepped rolls by fitting the third and fourth rotation shafts for high speed to center holes of the first and second rotation shafts independently and rotatably. CONSTITUTION:A wire W is wound on annular grooves 9a-d, 10a-d of the first and second stepped rolls 9, 10 for low speed successively, and extended by tensile force through a die 11. The wire W extended by the first and second stepped rolls 9, 10 is wound on annular grooves 18a-d, 19a-d of the third and fourth stepped rolls for high speed successively and extended by tensile force to specified diameter through a die 20 to become a drawn wire. The drawn wire is taken up by a wire taking up device.
